When I decided to pursue voiceover work, I decided to make a CD of my talent and send it to many different agencies and radio stations. Within a month I was fielding offers from both of them, which was extremely exciting. I loved the thought of being the voiceover for a big Disney film, the voice of a princess or heroine. My first job was the voiceover for a little girl mouse in a cartoon. I loved every minute of my time working on the TV show. This gave me the desire to want to do more work. I found that I had many opportunities that I could choose from. Six months into my voiceover work I was offered a huge part on the radio in commercials. Since this was going to be a long job I studied the character that I was portraying. Now I have my dream career of voiceover work.

Two weeks ago I went into this shop called broadway tickets nyc, which had a couple of interesting reasons for selling tickets. One of the reasons was that you could naturally see things that weren’t involved, because they had all these screens standing around. They were those Asian style screens that people have between their beds to make sure you can’t see them when they are changing clothes. I suppose that’s an interesting thing because it kept the different customers from knowing what the other customers were buying. I thought that was particularly interesting, especially since all we wanted to do was to see how much the tickets were. The other day I was talking to my friend about that broadway musical shop, and she was pretty happy to explain what it was all about. I guess you need to understand things like this in order to appreciate a good musical. I’m not sure if she could understand when I tried to explain it to her, though.

If you’re thinking of moving to the west coast because you’ve got the acting bug, you need to be rooted in reality and not floating in dreamland. Every other person in Los Angeles is either a budding scriptwriter or an actor, yet most of them are waiting tables, if they’re lucky. It’s not the life you envisioned when you were back east and not why you’re moving in the first place.

Make sure you have enough money to tide you over until you start earning money. Look online to find others who are looking for roommates, because the apartments there ccan be quite expensive. Another thing to look for, once you’ve got any kind of money coming in, are Los Angeles acting classes.

Actually, you can just do an online search for Los Angeles acting classes before you even move because then you’ll have the time to find reviews from satisfied or dissatisfied students and you’ll know what the class costs.

These classes won’t just hone your skills; they’ll give you a community of folks who have connections in the film world you’re seeking to become a part of.
